Our favourite dance styles - Ballet

For many families an evening watching Swan Lake, performed by The Royal Ballet Company is an evening to treasure and remember for ever. Based around a romantic and tragic story and choreographed to the dramatic music of Tchaikovsky, it has the power to stimulate a wide range of emotions from the audience.

There are many styles of Ballet, ranging from the traditional classical form through to more contempory forms. Our classes are designed to introduce the core moves and foundation routines and as the classes progress, build steadily on the basics to introduce more complex turns, pirouettes, jumps and arabesque kicks .We look to instill a degree of poise and elegance in our students as well as providing a way of exercising that develops muscle tone and improves fitness and general well being.

Our favourite dance styles - Tap

Tap dancing was very much popularised by the Hollywood movies featuring dancers such as Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire. It is still one of the most popular performance dances today and is very much a part of many musical shows and pantomines. For anybody wishing to pursue a career on the musical stage it is a must.
